Rope & Retractable Barrier Systems

Queue barriers — also sold as crowd control stanchions, queue poles, bollards or barrier posts — for putting a line on the floor that people will not cross. Two systems do that job, and they are not interchangeable.

Rope barriers are a post with a ring under the top and a rope slung between posts. They are for standing still and looking smart: a red carpet, a gallery, a function room, a car on a showroom floor. Retractable belt barriers have a belt in a cassette inside the post that pulls out and winds back in. They are for a queue that moves: a counter, a till, an entry. Wall mounted barriers are the same belt cassette screwed to a wall, for places with no floor space to spare.

Posts stand on a weighted, cement-filled base and are sold singly or in sets. Ropes, belts, sign holders, clip ends, wall hooks and replacement bases are all sold separately, so a run is easy to extend or repair. Our ropes are braided; velvet can be ordered in.
