Description
A retractable belt barrier that screws to the wall instead of standing on the floor. Pull the belt across when you need the line closed, let it wind back when you do not - and nothing is left out in the walkway to trip over or get moved.
The 3 m belt is 48 mm wide in black and yellow hazard stripes - the pattern people read as "do not walk through" without needing a sign. It suits a workshop bay, a loading area, a wet floor, a lift that is out of service, or any doorway that has to shut for part of the day.
The housing is black ABS.
It comes with the wall bracket for the far side and the fixings to mount both ends, so a pair of holes at each end is the whole job.
Tip: Measure the gap before you pick a length. The belt should reach across with a little to spare rather than stretch tight - pick the next size up if you are close. Need the line to move around instead of staying put? A free-standing belt post does the same job without drilling.

Questions & Answers
Q: How does it fix to the wall?
A: It screws on. Expansion fixings come in the box for the unit and for the receiver bracket on the far side, so it is a pair of holes at each end.
Q: What is the receiver?
A: The catch on the opposite wall that the belt end clips into. It is supplied - you do not buy it separately.
Q: How wide is the belt?
A: 4.8 cm, the same width as the belt on our free-standing posts.
Q: Which length do I need?
A: Measure the gap and allow a little slack - the belt should reach across comfortably rather than pull tight. This one is 3 m; we also do 5 m, 10 m.
Q: Can I use it outside?
A: No - this one is for indoor use.
Q: Wall mounted or a free-standing post?
A: A wall unit stays put and keeps the floor clear, which is what you want in a corridor, a workshop bay or a doorway that closes at the same time every day. If the line needs to move - a queue that changes shape, an event that packs down - use a free-standing belt post instead.
