A-Frame Sandwich Board 600 x 900 mm - Black Steel Pavement Sign

A black steel A-frame for the footpath outside the shop, 100 cm tall with a 60 x 90 cm face on each side. It arrives ready to use - open it out, drop the panels in and stand it up. There is nothing to bolt together, which is worth more than it sounds: the cheap frames arrive as a bag of parts and an afternoon.

The top rail is a hinged flap. Lift it, slide the panel down into the frame from the top, and close the flap over the edge - it holds the panel in and keeps the top of the print out of the weather. Changing the message takes a few seconds and no tools.

It takes two panels, one for each face - not one panel shared between the sides. Both faces are seen by different people walking in different directions, so both are worth printing.

Outdoors it does the job it is made for - the A-frame is a triangle, and a triangle on the ground is a stable shape in ordinary weather. It is a sign you put out for trading and bring back in afterwards, not one that lives on the footpath year round. Fold it and bring it in when the wind gets up.

For a sign that has to stay out through the weather, a pavement sign on a water-filled base is built for that instead.

Questions & Answers

Q: Does it need assembling?
A: No. It arrives put together. Open it out, put the panels in and it is working.

Q: How many panels do I need?
A: Two - one for each face. They are not included.

Q: What panels does it take, and where do I get them?
A: Corflute, 600 x 900 mm, 5 mm thick. A local sign shop will print them to your artwork, or buy blank corflute at that size and mount your own print on it. We do not sell the panels.

Q: How do the panels go in?
A: Lift the hinged flap along the top rail, slide the panel down into the frame, and close the flap over it. No tools, a few seconds a side.

Q: Can it be left outside?
A: Put it out for trading and bring it in afterwards. The triangle stands steady in ordinary weather, but it is not meant to stay on the footpath permanently, and it should be folded and brought in when the wind picks up.

Q: Will the print survive outside?
A: The frame will. The print depends on what you print on - ask the sign shop for UV-rated or laminated corflute if the sign goes out every day. Uncoated print fades in direct sun.
