2m Stanchion Rope for Queue Barrier - Black Braided with Gold Clips

A 2 m braided stanchion rope in black, with a gold clip at each end. One rope covers the gap between two posts - buy one to replace a rope that has had its day, or several to carry a run further.

The rope is 30 mm thick and the clips are 32 mm. It is the rope our heavy-duty posts ship with, and it fits the classic posts too. It hangs in a curve rather than pulling tight, so set the posts a little under 2 m apart and let it drape.

Braided, not velvet. In our experience braided rope holds its shape and its look better over time, so it is what we keep on the shelf.

Questions & Answers

Q: How many ropes do I need?
A: One per gap. Four posts in a straight line make three gaps, so three ropes. Corners and branches each need a rope of their own, and a post can carry up to four ropes at once.

Q: Will it fit my posts?
A: It clips onto any ring or hook that takes a 32 mm clip, which is what our heavy-duty posts ship with. It fits our classic rope barrier posts as well.

Q: How far apart should the posts be?
A: A little under 2 m. The rope is meant to hang in a curve, not stretch straight - set the posts at about 1.6 to 1.8 m and let it drape.

Q: 1.5 m or 2 m?
A: 2 m spans a wider gap, so you need fewer posts to cover the same distance. The 1.5 m rope in the same colour is the tighter, more formal look and uses a 28 mm clip. Both fit the same posts.

Q: Is it braided or velvet?
A: Braided. In our experience braided rope holds its shape and its look better over time, which is why it is what we stock. If a room calls for velvet, get in touch and we will sort something out.

Q: Silver or gold clips - does it matter?
A: Only for looks. Both clip onto the same posts. Match the clip to the post finish and it disappears; contrast it and it stands out.
