Four ways to put a poster where people will read it: snap frames on the wall, floor standing stands where there is no wall, adhesive holders on the glass, and pavement signs outside the door.

Everything here is aluminium or PVC, changes its poster without tools, and is held in our Melbourne warehouse rather than ordered in. Sizes run from A5 up to A0.

Which type do you need?

They all do the same job - hold a printed sheet flat and let you change it in seconds - but they mount in completely different ways. Start with where the poster has to go.

Where it goesWhat you wantSizes
On a wall25 mm snap frames, or 32 mm heavy duty for A1 and A0A4 - A0
On the floorFloor standing standsA4 - A1
On glassAdhesive window holdersA5 - A1

Snap frames - the wall option

An aluminium border whose four edges hinge outwards. Flip them open, lay the poster on the backing board, press the edges shut. The frame stays screwed to the wall the whole time, so a poster change takes about ten seconds and needs no tools. An anti-glare cover sheet sits over the print.

Two profiles. The 25 mm frame is the everyday one and comes in black, silver, gold, wood look and silver with round corners. The 32 mm frame has a thicker border and a stiffer backing board, which is what you want once a poster gets to A1 or A0 and a slim frame starts to bow.

Both are supplied with wall screws and plugs. Both are indoor frames. If the cover sheet gets scratched or goes cloudy, you can buy a replacement cover on its own rather than a new frame.

Floor standing stands - when there is no wall

A snap frame on a pole and a weighted base, for a foyer, a shop floor or a queue. Three kinds: a light pedestal that winds from 70 cm to 120 cm and swivels, a fixed-height stand on a 5 kg base for a spot it will not move from, and an A1 pavement sign with a fillable base for outside the door.

See the whole range on the floor standing stands page, where they are compared side by side.

Adhesive window holders - straight onto the glass

A flexible magnetic PVC frame that sticks to the inside of a shop window. The clear front sheet is held on by magnets, so changing the poster means lifting the sheet and swapping the paper - nothing is drilled and nothing stands on the floor.

In A5, A4 and A3 the holder is double-sided: both sheets are clear and the adhesive is a strip around the edge, so the poster reads from the street and from inside. A2 and A1 are single-sided with adhesive across the whole back, because a sheet that size needs the extra bond.

The same window display page also carries clear acrylic wall holders in A5, A4 and A3 - a rigid pocket for a single sheet, fixed with screws or the tape supplied.

FAQ

How does a snap frame open?

The four edges are hinged along their outside. Pull an edge outwards and it swings open; lay the poster on the backing board and press the edge back down. The frame never comes off the wall.

What comes with the frame?

The frame, a backing board, an anti-glare cover sheet, and wall screws and plugs. You supply the poster.

Can any of this go outdoors?

The wall frames, the floor stands and the window holders are all indoor items. For outside, use an A1 pavement sign - and print on waterproof stock, because it is the poster that has to handle the weather, not the frame.

What size poster should I print?

Print to the size on the label - an A3 frame takes a full A3 sheet, 297 x 420 mm, with no trimming. The frame border overlaps a few millimetres of the edge, so keep anything important away from the very edge of the artwork.

Do you sell in quantity?

Yes. Most of our orders are trade - retail groups, hotels, agents, sign companies, schools. Prices step down with quantity on most lines, and if you need a run of one size it is worth asking us for a price before you order.

Which size sells most?

A3 and A4, by a long way. A3 is the size people notice from a few metres away without it dominating the wall; A4 is what goes beside a counter or on a door. If you are fitting out and unsure, most places end up with a mix of the two.
